1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient; love is kind. Love is not jealous; is not proud; is not conceited; does not act foolishly; is not selfish; is not easily provoked to anger; keeps no record of wrongs; takes no pleasure in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth; love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
So today is Mother’s Day, a time when we do what we realistically should be doing every single day, showing love for our mothers. And when I think of motherly love, I think of this passage. The part that sticks with me the most is that love endures all things. I know that no matter what mistakes I make, no matter how big, my mother will be there in the end, loving me. Even if she doesn’t seem the happiest at the moment, I know in the end She will be there. I heard somewhere that God gave us mothers to give us little pieces of heaven on Earth, and boy do I have to agree.
So thank you mom for teaching me what love truly is, something that can not be bought, sold, or traded, but something that is worth more than any earthly possession.
Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you all go give your mom a hug and have a rocking week!!
