“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born
I set you apart.”
Jeremiah 1:5

Hi everyone! Happy October! So this month one thing has really been on my mind, the future. To every high school senior, especially this month, this word means many different things. Scary, exciting, “woah how are we this old??”, etc. While I’m pretty decided on where I want to go to school, I have been grappling with what exactly I want to DO. What major should I take, should I minor in Spanish, do I want to get a job in school, etc. But the biggest thing has been, am I doing this right? Is this what God wants me to do?

I’m sure this has happened to you, you question your purpose. What exactly am I supposed to be doing? To me the scariest part is WHAT IF I’M DOING THE WRONG THING? What if I’m not on the right path, what if I pick the wrong thing? Sometimes life can do this to you, freak you out, overwhelm you. You may think the choice you made wasn’t the right one, that everything you are doing is a mistake.

This can be totally terrifying. And this month especially this problem has been weighing on my heart. I was seriously doubting if I was doing the right things. That is when I found this bible verse.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you”

How comforting is that? God knew us, even before we knew ourselves. He knows what you will do in your life, your hopes, your dreams, and will be by your side along the way.

I set you apart

God had a special plan for you, a plan that can only be followed if you FOLLOW HIM. He made you for a special purpose, one that nobody else can do. I have always loved the saying, “God created the oceans and valleys and thought the world needed one of you, too”. How amazing is that? God saw that the world needed somebody with your special gifts and talents, so much so that he put you right where you are.

God has always, and will always, have a plan for you. He has known you forever, and can not wait to see you fulfill your purpose.

Thank you so much for reading! I pray that this month, no matter what you are going through, you remember this. God has known you forever. Talk to him, praise him, pray to him. He is always by your side, and he made you special. Have a blessed month!
